Description

This underlay is perfect for use with Quick -Step Livyn flooring. At 2mm thick it is made up of three layers (protective layer, comfort zone, levelling zone), enhancing the foam. Giving it the ability to self-level any minor unevenness in your subfloor while providing a stable foundation for your flooring.

The protective layer is a damp-proof membrane which is built in. As it is built in, there is no need for an extra layer during installation, saving time and money. This membrane protects your floor from rising moisture and mould.

It has been specially constructed to have transit and drum sound absorbing abilities, reducing creaking as you walk across your room.

It is suitable to be used with underfloor heating or underfloor cooling. However, if you have a room that will have fluctuations in temperature fluctuations or extreme temperatures it is better to use the Uniclic Livyn Sun Heat Underlay.

Question:

Can this be used underneath electric underfloor heating as insulation? Can I just unroll the heating mesh on top of this?

Answer:

Hi Kam,

This underlay can be used underneath the heating mesh however it is not likely to offer much insulation. We would recommend laying the ‘Underfloor Foil Insulation SFUF by SuperFOIL’ first and then laying Uniclic Basic Plus Underlay on top, then adding the heating mesh.
