Border Tiles

Border tiles are manufactured within collections of wall and floor tiles to finish runs of tiles or to inject a stamp of personality into an expansive wall of tiles. As the name suggests, border tiles are found around the edges of an area of tiling and sometimes they can be designed with one rolled edge or a dado-rail finish so theyre only for use at the border.

Border tiles are specifically manufactured for this use but you can also achieve the same look or style with mosaic tiles too. Mosaic tiles look more in place at any point throughout the tiling pattern and they could be used more than once, which is not a feature afforded to border tiles. If you cant find a match or what youre looking for in our collection of border tiles, try browsing mosaic tiles.

How do you use border tiles and mosaic tiles to make a statement?

Making a statement isnt necessarily about massive impact or something unseen before. Making a statement in a kitchen could be as simple as adding a thin line of terracotta border tiles around splashback tiles and then investing in some similar colour accessories for the room.

A couple of ideas could include adding an eye-catching pattern in an otherwise all-white bathroom, including textured border tiles around the edges of a wet room enclosure, or using rope-style dado rail border tiles in a hallway to mark the end of the tiling and the beginning of a painted wall.
